This month our theme is 'Annual Catalogue favourites'. Thank you for visiting my blog today.
This card was made using the This Little Piggy stamp set from the new annual catalogue.
I love pigs.... when I was young, if I ever came across a pig...I was in heaven. There used to be some close to where my granny lived and whenever I could, I would race to see my favourite. I called her Pearl and she was huge! She loved to be scratched behind her ears and would take food from me.
I still love them now. My house is full of piggy ornaments and as soon as I realised there was going to be a piggy stamp in this year's catalogue, it was at the top of my wish list.
I made this card for a very special friend, who has just had an operation to straighten the toes on a foot. The operation took four hours..... eeek! She is going to have to spend a week with her foot raised and then she will have to wear a 'boot' and not walk too much. She is going to miss her walks with her lovely Collie called Fern and she is going to hate having to be 'looked after'
I made this card to cheer her up and make her smile.
I must confess I prefer a clean and simple look, and this card absolutely has lots of lovely white space.
- Whisper White cardstock
- Blushing Bride cardstock
- Basic Washing Tape pack 1
- Linen Thread
- Memento tuxedo black ink
- Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzaz Stampn' Write markers
- 13/4", 11/2" circle punches
- Metallic enamel shapes
To make:
Cut cardstock to size
- Whisper White, A4 cut in half , scored and folded
- Blushing Bride to 53/8" x 4"
I stamped the piggy three times on Whisper White card using the Memento black ink. Then coloured each image using Blushing Bride Stampn' Writer. I colour using very small circular movements, just inside the black line. Also add touches of green to the grass.
When I was happy with them all, I die cut one to make a base and then two further layers were punched using a 13/4" and 11/2" circle punches.
I layered them all together with dimensionals.
I added three heart shaped siliver metallic enamel shapes.
The bow was made with linen thread.
Too cute!
