I thought I would make some money gift wallets.
They can be made for any occassion thoughout the year and will easily fit our UK £5 and £10 notes. I didn't have a £20 note, but I expect these would hold those too.
I've attached the note wallet to a DL card, so everything is all together and these will go through the post easily.
For this holder, I used the lovely Ever Eden speciality designer series paper and paired it with Smoky Slate card.
It's speciality because it has flecks of gold foil included in the designs on one side of each sheet.
To make a wallet, you will need the following:
For card base:
Coloured card: 8-1/4" (A4 short length) x 7-3/4" , score on short side at 3-7/8")
Designer series paper: 8-1/8" x 3-3/4"
Attach designer series paper to the front of the folded card
For money holder part:
Coloured card: 9-3/4" x 5-3/4", score on long side at 3-1/4", 6-1/2"
Designer series paper: 5-5/8" x 3-1/8" (3 pieces_
To make:
Cut sliver (about 1/8") from right hand side of long side
Cut from 2nd vertical score line to bottom right hand corner
Fold and burnish card
Attach designer series paper to outside face and 2 inside faces
Fold over and glue diagonal cut part
Tie the ribbon around money holder
Glue to the front of the card
I've made lots of these, they are so easy to make
Happy Crafting!
